Yeh Mon Jamaican Restaurant

Found this hidden gem tonight and I am addicted. The food is rich and craveable. The seasoning is perfect, with some heat but not so much it blows out your taste buds. The ox tail melts in your mouth and keeps you going back for more. The serving sizes are generous. Only sad thing is I didn't get my curry chicken I ordered and didn't notice till I was back home. Doesn't matter because there is more than enough for two people still. 100% recommend, and will be back again, and again and again.

I was driving back from Lake Placid to Rhode Island and thought I’d drive through Saratoga Springs on this chilly February day. It was just before lunchtime (11:30am) and googled “best lunch near me”. Needless to say, I love Jamaican food and have always found Jamaicans particularly friendly and jovial. After seeing the rating on Google, I took an out of the way drive. I had no idea it was in a Knights of Columbus Hall.The parking lot was empty and no one else was there except for the chef hard at work. He greeted me just with a jovial, thunderous welcome! Stopped by here for takeout dinner on the way upstate. 100% worth the stop. Generous portions for a fair price. Got 2 beef patties, oxtail, and brown stew chicken. Everything was fall off the bone and delicious. The cabbage was also banging. Great customer service as well. Thank you for the warm hospitality and heart warming meal!! Thanks to Gregory for serving us generously. Authentic Jamaican curry chicken with rice bean and fried plantain, jerk chicken with cabbages and plantain. They ran out of the coconut cake so I got the pineapple rum cake.

Tried the jerk chicken and it was really good, super flavorful with a nice smoky kick and just the right amount of spice. Juicy, well-seasoned, and definitely something I’d order again. Very excited to try out the other dishes!
