Whistler's Inn

The Whistler's Inn was my favorite part about my stay in the Berkshires. It was a wonderful experience for all of us. The owners and staff were so nice and inviting. The place is absolutely beautiful, like your in a museum. Beautiful place for taking pictures. They have Sherry for guests complimentary in the library, a great background story about the Inn. The rooms are themed and so beautiful. We stayed in the Rose room. And my favorite part about it was the amazing breakfast in the kitchen for people to sit like a family at the dining room table (you also have options to sit on your own if that's what you prefer) and a wonderful welcome from Richard the owner, both his lovely wife and daughter and adorable dog, Holly. We had a wonderful time at the Whistler Inn! Anyone who loves history will enjoy this B&B, a mid-19th C estate with a remarkable collection of art, decor, and furnishings — it’s like staying in a museum! Fascinating to wander through the inn. Our room was clean and comfortable. Gardens were beautiful. The host, Lisa, was so kind and friendly and upgraded us to a more spacious room on her own, just because it happened to be open that night. The blueberry pancakes for breakfast were outstanding , too!

This place is cozy and the owner Richard is a gentleman! Beautiful home built in the 1800s with period furniture. If you are into vintage style this place is for you and the room was immaculate and comfortable. Will return especially with this great location to the center of Lenox being within walking distance

We stayed in the Santa Fe room (Room 13), and it was shockingly substandard. The air quality was terrible due to mold, mildew, and dust. The carpets and some furnishings were damp, the walls were literally plywood, and the wiring looked dangerously jerry-rigged. Lights didn’t work, the room smelled musty, and overall it felt unsafe and unhealthy. No wifi. The bed is super short and shoved in an odd alcove. The bedding from the prior guest was left on a chair in the room. After reading reviews going back 20 years, it’s clear this room has been a known problem. It should not be rented out in its current state. We were only in the room/Inn from 11 PM - 7 AM. We couldn't get out of there fast enough and have requested a refund.

Gorgeous old home full of antiques, books and even a grand piano. The owners are most hospitable and you will feel like family. Wonderful 4 nights of very quiet and comfortable sleep. Great hot showers once the hot water heater turned on. First night shower cool. We might have been the first guests of the season. Breakfast options good. Parking easy. Quick walk downhill to Lennox restaurants etc. Large grounds with hills for happy children and sweet doggies. Pets welcome. Very close to Tanglewood via optional scenic back roads. This home was built in 1867 and visitors will see walls needing minor repairs, but was not a big deal. The gardens were in bloom, including the gorgeous and fragrant wisteria. Looking forward to returning here!
