West Beach

The worst beach of all of them. I'd avoid this one. The path to the beach is littered with glass, probably from the transfer station. Not pictured, the literal river of urine coming out of a drain next to the transfer station, running down the same path you have to walk on, and the awful stench it produces in the heat of summer.

No one was here but the beaches on the other side of the island were packed. It was nice to be away from the loud noise but it is very rocky in the water here and the rocks are slippery. I didn't mind the uncomfortable walking on rocks but slipping into the water wasn't fun. Also, there was a lot of seaweed and some garbage in the water which was less fun trying to avoid.

An out-of-the-way waterfront accessible just past the Town transfer station. Mostly rocky but for a small area to the north of the access path. Recently there have been a lot of Portuguese Man-of-War jellyfish sightings. (That's a dead one on thos beach in the attached photo.). Very dangerous critters. Be careful.

This was during high tide. Rough gravel road but worth it.

Beautiful view of the ocean if you don't mind being near the town trash site/transfer station. I wouldn't go shoeless here but every beach view on BI is beautiful!
