Enter, imagining you were a seafaring captain, walking through the vintage-furnished decor, then enter your quaint and comfy room, all with centuries-old wooden beams high overhead. You'd almost think you were going to get a hot bath with a personal back-scrubber at sunset. Snap out of it -- of course it is nostalgic, but a modernized and beautiful place with the friendliest staff. Cristian at the front desk gave great suggestions for the local art and hotspots; and made sure my room was perfect! The location is "the best" for all the food, art, entertainment, shopping and endless people-watching. I joked that I'll have an omelette in the morning and go sit by the pool. Believe me, the continental-plus breakfast is filling, and there are sunning balconies - but no pool - because if you

Great themed rooms, nice deck around the building and reasonable pricing compared to others in the area. It’s close to Commerical St. I will say, I asked for fresh towels after my partner said the innkeeper said just ask to be met with attitude by one of the staff. I also left the AC on to come back to a cool room and someone felt entitled enough to come in our room and turn it off. And the BEDS! You run a business, these mattresses are beyond unacceptable and have been for years. Stop ignoring the problem and invest! Might have to explore other options moving forward.

Quaint and cozy. We booked a last minute stay and enjoyed ourselves. Staff was extremely friendly and check-in was a breeze. Room had the amenities we needed and location couldn't be better. With it being just off the main road you get convenience but no noise. Super quiet. Will definitely be back!

Wonderful place and staff, lovely and surprisingly peaceful, except you won't ever sleep late due to their cute dog unfortunately barking you awake every morning. But then you won't miss their very nice breakfast with fresh baked muffins!

An 1820's captain's house? Excellent! Cozy and quaint? Check!! One block from Commercial street? Awesome! Parking included? Get out of town!! Yet, with all this wonderfulness the one most required essential for a quality stay is the BED. And this one needed replacing, maybe quite a long time ago. Old saggy coil spring bed that jostled me like I was on the ocean every time my partner moved. We did mention this to the staff and they did agree, so I know it's not just me being picky. I would love to say I would stay here again, but if the beds are like this the next time, I will give it all up for a good night's sleep somewhere else. Sorry Watership!!
