The Gaslamp Bed & Breakfast

The Gaslamp is a beautiful bed and breakfast right in the heart of Provincetown—just steps from amazing restaurants, shops, and some of the best drag shows and entertainment in town. The newly renovated rooms are cozy and full of character, decorated with an eclectic mix of antiques and local art. Jeff and Jim are wonderful hosts, and the breakfasts are absolutely delicious! It’s always such a treat to relax in the parlor over a slice of quiche or a warm scone with coffee, chatting with other guests—and, of course, getting some love from their ridiculously adorable French bulldog, Nathaniel. You truly can’t go wrong staying at The Gaslamp. Once you visit, you’ll definitely want to come back again!

On arrival we stepped in to a Lovely Victorian parlor all decorated for Christmas. Our room was beautiful with touches of Christmas as well and we thoroughly enjoyed the fireplace. The Inn is centrally located and we could walk to everything. Jeff and Jim were the most wonderful hosts and couldn’t have been kinder. The breakfasts were delicious and they crafted them all themselves. And the folks we met at breakfast in the parlor were delightful and some of the best moments of our trip. Totally boosted our holiday mood and feeling the spirit of Christmas.We’re already making plans to come back.

If you are planning a trip to Provincetown , do yourself a favor and make a reservation for The Gas Lamp. I was there the weekend of December 12th. It was just magical. I stayed in room 6 this trip and it was just so cozy. Beautifully appointed and a huge shower and separate soaking tub. There is a hot tub in the back yard. I used each day. One afternoon it snowed and I was in the hot tub and all the Christmas lights were on. Again, just magical. And the breakfast is just fabulous. Jeff and Jim are just so nice and welcoming. We loved everything about our stay at the Gaslamp! We visited in the fall and found the house itself to be the perfect cozy, romantic setting. The rooms are tastefully remodeled in a way that modernizes without taking away from the original aesthetic - the photos don’t do them justice! Jeff, Jim, and Nathaniel are excellent hosts and the breakfast each morning was so much better than it had any right to be. Located just one block of commercial street, you’re steps away from all the activities. So happy with our decision to stay here. Wouldn’t change a thing… aside from maybe a longer stay!

Our weekend at the Gaslamp was unbelievably relaxing and romantic with the added benefit of a scrumptious homemade breakfast each morning. Jim and Jeff have thought of a million special details to make The Gaslamp warm, inviting and unique. I can’t recommend it more enthusiastically for a winter getaway and a chance to enjoy Provincetown without the crowds but with lovely people and delicious dining and fabulous cocktails at Lady Slipper and Tin Pan Alley.
