Visiting with my sister, she recommended this lovely restaurant. I was blown away, service and food was magnificent and tasty. Other customers were speaking French and German (possibly) but an experience (a special memory) with my sister. The music and decor, did not disappoint it was fantastic. I love history, and enjoyed the entire area we were seated. A must if you come to visit the area.

Jar garlic and bagged Parmesan in the coolers up front should have been my first sign to leave but decided to give it a try anyways. The service was great, salad was good, garlic bread was good but had a lot of oil on it to the point of dripping when you held it. The chicken was bland and tasted like canned chicken, the Alfredo sauce tasted like it was from a can, the lasagna was more like Italian meatloaf wrapped in a single pasta noodle. Super strange for authentically advertised Italian food. Paid $80 for 4 pasta dishes and waters. Was excited to visit Galena but would not return to this restaurant, there are many other options which are probably better.

Its beautiful outside and in. It's a maze inside with themed rooms. Our server was nice and friendly as well as the lady that brought us our salad/ bread. Both dishes are so yummy. My husband got a seafood dish that he really liked but said there was a lot of oil in the dish. I got the chicken Alfredo. The chicken has zero flavor and doesn't even look appetizing. Everything is very over priced for what you get. Noodles are very good. Also there's a fee for using your credit card.

I have been going here off and on for years. It has noticeable gone downhill. The ambiance was spot on, service was great. The appetizer, bruschetta, was really good. Meal comes with salad it was good, the garlic bread was way too garlicy and dripped with oil. My basic spaghetti and meatballs were not good. The pasta was chewy and dry, kind if tasted of cardboard. If we go back again we'll just get the appetizer not a very overpriced meal.

I came here about 15 years ago, and this place is STILL amazing as it was then. We literally planned a trip to Galena, just to come here, which about a 3 hour drive. The food was FABULOUS and authentic Italian. The only way to be more authentic is actually being in Italy. Our server Meghan was fast, friendly and helpful. The portions are HUGE, so come hungry or plan on to go boxes. I love the themed rooms in the front of the restaurant and the traditional seating through out the rest of the restaurant. You WON'T be disappointed eating here. You can even buy their house raspberry vinegarette to take home!
