Cloran Mansion Bed and Breakfast

Paul made our stay at the Cloran Mansion a wonderul experience. We had our elopement there and he planned every detail to make it a beautiful and easy experience. It was exactly what we wanted. We enjoyed bringing our dogs along in Antonio's Cottage. We also got to see the Tower Room with the coolest jet tub. The breakfast meals were unique and delicious. Highly reccomend.

The property is beautiful. The house has the charm that anyone is looking for when going to galena. We had the TOWER ROOM, which has a great, unique jacuzzi bathtub, big enough for 2, in the tower. A charming, narrow, steep staircase leads up to the tub. The bed was comfortable. For the price paid, it was perfect. Very comparable to other B&B's in the area. The rooms were clean, the common rooms were clean, the dining room was beautifully decorated. The Innkeeper, Paul, was attentive, polite, courteous, and sincere. There is a charming gazebo in the front yard, screened it, next to a water feature which provides good background noise. One thing to consider, this B&B is not close to downtown. Wow! We just had the best two night stay at the Cloron mansion! Our suite was beautiful and I fell in love with all of the period furniture; especially the bathroom mirror! Our room was quaint, cozy and the fireplace offered such warmth and ambience after spending the day outside and hiking in the cold! The little touches made our stay even better; movies, cookies, mints, popcorn, water in our fridge, a Keurig in our room and cozy bedding! Paul was an amazing host! He served a delicious breakfast each day; apple waffles, cinnamon pancakes, potatoes, eggs, cranberry bread, local jams, fresh fruit, bacon/sausage, coffee, teas, and juices all set on a beautiful Christmas themed table with different place settings each day! We stayed 3 nights. Paul, the host, was so accommodating. The breakfast was delicious and changed daily (pancakes, waffles, French toast and sides). I stayed in the Cottage. I liked the DVD library that you can borrow movies. The location is very convenient, close to downtown and Walmart.

It was our first time at a B & B and they set the bar HIGH. Paul is an incredible host. The rooms have everything you can think of from a cozy fire place to a jet tub. Breakfast was AMAZING. I especially liked the granola French toast and ham :) My husband and I were sad to leave but can’t wait to go back!
