Vargas Cafe

I was working across the street saw the picture of the tacos and that was all I needed to know. If half the people in the hotels find this place. There would be a line down the parking lot because there are not many if any taco options on the island I have seen.

Had a beef empanada (excellent) and cortadito (good). My friend had a Cuban Sandwich and cortadito which looked good and she said was very tasty. Good portions and seasoning. I think the cortadito I've had in the past were a bit stronger. I'd definitely go back.

Enjoyed a really good Cuban sandwich here. The bread was freshly toasted and tasted like garlic butter. Loved the bright pickles and mustard with the ham, pork and mild Swiss cheese. Service was professional and attentive. Also plenty of AC.

Amazing Cuban. The Pan con bistec and empanadas were some of the best I have ever had. Easy access form the beach and port area.

The google menu says that the cuban sandwich is ~$10 but it is not up to date. The sandwich is $13. The cuban sandwich was overloaded with pickles and mustard, which made it way too bitter/acid and salty. To go orders go with no napkins. So make sure you get them before you leave. The place looks clean.
