Fortuna Bakery & Coffee - Cape Canaveral

Love to see new cultural options in this area and we’ve been needing a decent bakery & coffee shop! It’s a little Colombian panaderia with classic pastries & empanadas. Both sweet and savory options, breakfast sandwiches, coffees and espresso. Come out and support them! They’re lovely people too.

I’m giving this bakery a one-star review. I owned and operated a bakery myself for many years before retiring, so I know what fresh product should look, smell, and taste like. Unfortunately, it was very clear that the pastries in the display case were not baked that morning — everything appeared to be at least a day old, and there wasn’t even the smell of fresh baking when I walked in. I purchased an assortment of danishes, but you really can’t tell their freshness just by looking through the case. After tasting them, it confirmed my suspicion — they were not fresh. I also know that these particular danishes are pre-made, frozen products from a food service supplier, which makes it even more disappointing that they were being sold as day-old items. I’m so excited a Fortuna opened in Brevard! The workers here were so nice and everything was delicious. It was also very clean inside and is a great place to sit down and enjoy some good food!

Every time I visit, the pastries are fresh, the coffee is rich, and the display cases are full of beautiful options that are hard to choose from.You can taste the quality in everything from the breads to the cakes, and the portions and prices make it a great value for families and regulars alike.The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the shop is always clean and well organized, which makes it a comfortable place to sit and enjoy a quick bite or meet with friends.The staff is friendly and efficient, even when the line gets long, and they are always willing to explain the different Latin pastries and recommend favorites. By far, one of the best bakeries beach side. I saw a 1 star review and I’m pretty sure that’s just one of those people that you will NEVER please.
