Wow! I drove all the way from NY to take a chance and it was worth every mile. Service - stellar. What a welcoming staff. The bartender, Chris… talented, pleasant and charismatic. Ask for the chutney sour w/ Tequila. You’re welcome! The food… OMG! Delicious! Every morsel dialed in and the variety of naan bread incredible. Going to find another excuse to come back and I’m bringing the whole family.
Amazing restaurant! Visiting from out of town and wish this restaurant was by home in New Jersey. The service, the food, and the drinks were all perfection! Had the samosas and North Indian curry. My only criticism was I wish I had it spicier!
I don't write reviews but I always read them before I try someplace new so a 4.8 was a green light to try Tulsi. I've loved Indian food since I was 16, often going to Taste of India, and this meal was horrendous. First, the portion sizes of the entrees were not worth the price. The containers were 16 oz but they were not full, the chicken korma($18) was mostly liquid and the adraki aloo gobhi($17) wasn't flavorful at all. The chicken wings($12) were okay but my daughter had to put sauce on them to finish. Even the garlic naan($6) left much to be desired as they were undercooked. The only decent items were the samosas($7), even though I requested two orders and received one, and the mango lassi. $77 was wasted tonight and, while I understand that high prices are ravaging everyone's wallets,
Group of six of us (4 adults, 2 kids) ate here last night and Tulsi absolutely delivered. We started with samosas, chicken wings, pappadam, and garlic naan — all excellent, especially the naan - soft, fragrant, and made with care. The kids had korma (mild) and a dry chicken dish that had plenty of flavor without any heat. We ordered a medium vindaloo, a biryani, couple salads, and shared everything around the table. All totally imbued with craft. Even the rice, which is so often just clumpy, sticky, thoughtless -- but here, every grain was separate, aromatic, and perfectly cooked, layered with spice rather than drowned in it. You could tell real attention and experience went into it. This kind of simple detail tells you all you need to know about what's happening in that kitchen. We
What a treat! The food is exceptional. Our server was so helpful and simple wonderful explaining the food choices. I was intimidated ordering from the menu since the last owner had a buffet for lunch. This was far better and so fresh! We will definitely return and Windsor is lucky to get such a lovely spot to dine.
