Tony's Donut Shop

Donut and Pastry Nirvana! It has been a few years but with the new owner (former long-time employee) we stopped in and wow. This is the old Tony's I remember. Too many things to choose from and it is impossible to make a bad choice. My glazed raise was inhaled, the old-fashioned plain was excellent and that apple turnover is on a totally different level. I will try to not make this local icon a weekly stop.

Visiting from MA and another local donut shop was closed so came here. Hands down the best raspberry glazed donut I have ever had! Quick service, great prices, and exceptional quality donuts.

Great little donut shop in Portland Maine. This was the first time I EVER ate here, and the staff was extremely courteous when I called them! They took my doughnut and got chocolate and quickly helped this disabled man with curbside pickup as their parking lot was packed at 10:15 am and had still remained packed the hour I’ve sat here with people coming and going getting doughnuts! The doughnuts were fluffy and delicious and the hot chocolate sweet with a nice flavor (not watered down) . What a great experience! Ty Tony’s! You rock!

I don’t eat a lot of donuts, usually just when on the road (and usually disappointing from a big chain). I read about Tony’s and decided to try it out. Little bit of a wait (but it is superbowl Sunday), but the person behind the counter was very efficient and expedient. Tons of selection, and lots of things I hadn’t seen before, I got a chocolate glazed (standard) and a molasses plain (new for me!). Both were outstanding, a little crispy, not oily, not too sweet. The molasses plain was so good-just a hint of molasses, barely sweet (which was great). Will definitely be back!

We are back in love! New owner, old memories of the nice fresh donuts as a kid are back, and are really there now! Thank you Emily, you brought back something that was worth bringing back!
