My partner and I went to dinner there last night for our second time and were blown away once again. It was my partner's birthday and they really made her feel special. They made sure to wish her a happy birthday the moment we got there and remembered it all throughout. They even brought a chocolate sorbet dessert with lit candles in it. That entire staff made it magical. They really know what they're doing here. The food is absolutely delicious. The steak tartare is so good and we got it there last time as well. Everything was perfect. We are looking forward to going there again in the future. Thank you for such an amazing time.❤️

Very much feeling the place. We got the duck that I can’t pronounce and the ravioli special and OMG…. Really quality and understand why it’s rated 4.9. It’s legit and I’m a tough critic. Stop here on your trip to Portland/Maine.

This restaurant serves consistency, excellence, and warmth. Even by Portland's immense standards, the Knotted Apron stands out and has earned my patronage for years to come. -the bread was immaculate -the French onion soup was the best I've had -the steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned -the cocktails were delicious -the complimentary ice cream at the end was a kind and delightful surprise What we hadn't shared was that this meal was to honor the memory of my dearly loved father, who'd passed away a week prior. As I write this, I'm brought to tears knowing how much he would have loved this place and the incredible team behind it. Thank you for sharing your light with this family. It meant more than words can say.

Intimate, casual, fine dining in this pleasant Portland neighborhood restaurant! Nice to be away from the downtown too! This is innovative, well prepared dishes based on european inspired culinary recipes. The open kitchen two-person team and dishwasher are impressive and can be viewed in the bar section. The dining room area adjacent is away from the kitchen providing guests with seating for two to four people. Wine and drinks are well selected and prepared and service is outstanding with friendly, informative servers. Bravo!

Ok, we moved to the area (Yarmouth) in December from 25 years in San Francisco. We had been searching for a good experience that felt familiar and we finallllllly found it - the “Knotted Apron”! Holy shit, a solid 10/10 in my book. It had neighborhood charm, understated ambience, but more importantly the food was amazingly good - fresh, simple but executed flawlessly and perfectly. This felt like our neighborhood gems in SF that locals knew but tourists had to figure out. Surprised this chef had not been James Beard nominated as it torches some of the other places in town that have. We brought a verrrrry nice bottle of Billecart from 2005 to celebrate my birthday. Their corkage is $40 per bottle. We started with the bread. OMFG, the best bread I have had in ages. so crunchy but yet sof
