Blue House Bagels (Pre-orders only)

Absolutely the best bagels I’ve had in a very long time, and definitely the best I’ve had in Maine. Don’t toast these bad boys and enjoy the luscious chew. Incredible service and very easy pickup. I’ll be ordering these by the dozen as long as they’re being made! Ordered a dozen assorted to try out all the flavors and the spice/topping quality is elite, so hard to pick a favorite! Will be telling all my friends and ordering again soon, thanks Blue House!

The best representation of how amazing these bagels are is probably the timeline from this morning for a small family of three: 8:30 am: Picked up a half dozen at the blue house on the charming street from the equally charming man in an apron. 11:45 am: crumbs only on the cutting board They really are very expertly made, with a lot of skill and love, flavored creatively and perfectly with the exact texture and crumb you'd want even by the highest NY bagel standards. The only downside is, the more people that find out about them, the faster they'll sell out each week!

Such incredible bagels! Every flavor on the menu is delicious, and the weekly specials are always just as incredible. The hot green and Cacio e Pepe are my personal faves. Perfectly chewy, crisp on the exterior and soft and pillow on the inside. Bagels are made fresh to order and are still warm when you pick them up. Pickup couldn’t be easier either. The house (which is indeed blue and matches the illustration on the logo!) is on a nice quiet street, and Ryan the owner comes to the door in his apron to hand you your order. The whole experience is easy peasy and just feels WHOLESOME. HUGHLY recommend giving Blue House Bagels a try, you won’t regret it!

Just fantastic bagels. The Asiago bagel might be my favorite Asiago bagel I’ve ever had. Asiago all over with a gorgeous caramelized layer of cheese on the bottom as well making every bite delicious. Perfect and crisp on the outside, light on the inside but with a magnificent chew. Cacio e Pepe is pictured because I wolfed down the Asiago before I could take a photo. I cannot recommend these bagels enough!

Easily the best NY-style bagels in the Portland area. Good crunch on the outside, soft and chewy inside with excellent flavor. Plus, a really creative variety of bagels. Try the French onion and hot green versions!
