Tim Emery Municipal Pool

We live right next to this pool so we're kind of spoiled but we live it! It's always a fun time and like that they have ice cream and things to purchase and the life guards are very friendly and attentive.

Its free. Which is good for car camping travelers lol. My son and I had a nice swim and a shower. Showers were cold but when it's free, we didn't care.

We were enjoying our visit quite a bit. 2.5 hours into our activity and a lifeguard claims the floats we were using were not acceptable. I asked, politely, why they were okay for so long but now weren't. At this point the lifeguard became incredibly rude and stated she was "busy watching the whole pool" you know, the pool we had been part of for 2.5 hours. The incredibly rude way she responded was enough for us to leave at that point and I don't think we'll be returning. It is not difficult to be respectful to people who can't know rules that aren't even posted.

Nice pool, but as a senior I find it difficult to swim or even wade in the pool when there are a lot of screaming children splashing or hitting into me. I am unstable on my feet and when a child knocks into me from horsing around I’m afraid I will get injured. You should have a couple of hours a day or even just one day a week, where it’s seniors allowed only. We would like to enjoy the use of the pool as well, without the fear of injury. Maybe the parents can take their children to the beach on the days us seniors would like to swim. Maybe this upcoming summer there is a way we can accommodate all the locals, both young and old.

Nice place . They do allow kids to throw things in pool and dive to get them. Makes it a bit hard to swim. But life guards seem nice and focused on the pool and safety.
