Top quality! Restaurant in a historic home. Best coconut shrimp I've had. Top notch fish and chips, as well as the filet mignon. Dessert was hot chocolate mug cake. Delicious and not too big. Perfect. Will be back.

Everything about the Sun Tavern was excellent! Our server (Sam, I believe) was lovely, attentive and helpful. We ordered drinks, apps, dinner and dessert and each item was perfect. Apps: hummus- great flavor, pita bread was perfect. Definitely more than your standard hummus! Lobster ravioli- so good! Rich flavor, perfect to share and have 1 each. Coconut shrimp- excellent! Dinner: We ordered New York Sirloin, Atlantic Salmon, Cod, Fish and Chips and Two Way Duck. I had the duck- it was So good!! I do not often order duck but decided to try it. The leg was 'confit' and the flavor and texture was delicious and tender. I forget how the breast was prepared but it was also wonderful (though I preferred the confit leg!). Each piece of the dinner was flavorful, never overly salty, just deliciou

Clam chowder - very good, had flavor. My husband really liked the duck. Can't tell you how disappointed I was with the lamb shank. No meat. Expensive treat for the dog. Still thinking about it 3 days later. Should have stopped at the chowder!! I'm sad

Wanted to love this place, but inconsistencies make it difficult. Dinner for 2 w/ a 7pm reservation (after their admitted 5-7 rush) should permit a decent table, but no: we were seated at last table near unisex bathroom & kitchen. Two nearby tables remained empty until we left at 9pm after 2 martinis, 3 courses ea & 1 good priced btl of malbec. We'll prob return to eat at the bar & try lower priced food, but I do understand some of the negative reviews.

We went tonight for my wife’s 60th birthday. It was myself, my wife and my adult son. My wife and I got the sirloin and my son got the filet mignon. We had not been there for over a year …it was my wife’s choice of restaurants being a special occasion. It was nothing like we had experienced in the past. The steaks were of low quality and the sides were warm. We are not people to send our food back so we ate it .. You just don’t expect to drop $300 for a meal and leave with a sour taste in your mouth!!
