The Little Island

Love this place. The cheddar burger and cheese fries are my personal favorites. Awesome Chicago style hot dogs, get them charred! DELICIOUS. Great specials/food and great for kids too they have a great kids menu.

Don’t be intimidated by the tiny parking lot surrounded by traffic, the little island is worth checking out if you want the best hotdog on the North Shore, delicious hamburgers, a fantastic fried chicken sandwich, or even a cup of chili. You’ll never go to Portillo’s or a fast food chain again once you check out this place. We love their french fries and the freshness of the food can’t be beat

Order the signature burger and their fresh cut fires. It was very good. I don't believe I ever had a burger on french bread before but it there's always a first time. They have outdoor seating if you want to sit down and enjoy a nice meal.

Best place to get an old-school burger, hot dog, or brat with fries. Shakes are hands down awesome. Can't beat the service and the owner. Recommend this to anyone that needs a burger and fries.

A great, tiny Chicago-style hot dog stand (although they serve excellent burgers, decent Italian beef, etc.). Everything is custom cooked, so you can get a badly burnt jumbo Vienna hot dog (my favorite) or a medium rare burger if you prefer. For whatever reason (like a Very low overhead, maybe), prices are substantially lower than most other local hot dog stands, too. And there are combos and daily specials. WARNING: parking is a BIG challenge.
