C&W Market and Ice Cream Parlor

Such a delightful and unique spot! The ice cream shop has a warm, homely feel that instantly makes you comfortable. It's a combination of ice cream and burgers, not something you see every day. Good selection of flavors, but what truly stood out was the beautiful celebration of African American history throughout the space. It’s inspiring to see the stories, leaders, and pioneers highlighted in such a meaningful way. It’s also very family-friendly, with storybooks for kids and board games that make it a fun place to sit, and enjoy ice cream :)

Stumbled upon this restaurant today and was really excited to try their food! I ordered their Catfish & Wings combo, and was expecting to take leftovers home due to large portions. Lemme tell ya, the flavor made me finish the whole meal! Clarence & Wendy welcomed me in with great hospitality and immaculate vibes. Can’t wait to come back and add some ice cream to my order!

Stepping into C&W Ice Cream Parlor, you know you are in a happy place. Of course I came for the ice cream and it didn’t disappoint. What I didn’t know was how good the hamburger would be-generous portion and cooked to perfection. With big smiles on their faces and their genuine warmth, Wendy and Clarence Weaver make you feel like you are a guest in their home. Indeed, a very special place just opened in Evanston!

This place is great. Stopped to get ice cream for the kids and ended up getting an order of whole wings for myself. Prices and portions are great. And being from Buffalo, the wings were good. I got to talk to Clarence, the owner and he's a real one. And the backup qb for Jim Kelly was Frank Reich! So awesome your son was coached by him!

We went out for ice cream and came home with new friends! What a treat (pun intended). We were equally satisfied by the dinner menu. The Philly cheesesteak and pulled chicken sandwiches were perfect, I don’t know how else to articulate it. They were really that delicious. I’m pretty sure our five year old set a speed eating record with his Superman ice cream cone. Which means no one was watching me do the same to my cookie dough scoop. We are excited to become regular customers!
