Hartigan's Ice Cream Shoppe

Hartigans is amazin. I appreciate the staffs and managers kindness to me even though I have autism and their food is amazing and really good. Ron, Julius, Marsha, Bridget, Sydney, Maya, Jeremy, and Sophia are very friendly. I love their black cherry and green river combination. The ice cream is freshly imported from Cedar Crest! The restaurant is clean. Amazing ice cream. Must come back. 10/10.

We are regulars here for the last 20 yrs. Its a hit and miss with service. But overall, it is still one of our family favorites. Our kids come here weekly and even they noticed service can sometimes not be the best especially when its busy. The scoops starts to get sloppy and inconsistent. Sometimes its extremely small. For the price paid at least be consistent.

Delicious ice cream. There is plenty of outdoor seating but I will say the area was a little dirty when we went - dried, sticky ice cream on the tables and the cute spoons you get with the ice cream were littered around.

The classic All American Ice Cream Shop!! I am accustomed to urban areas, so to be in such a quaint establishment makes me feel like I am in a Norman Rockwell painting. The staff is friendly and eager. They are a very large part of the Evanston community's identity and spirit. It's almost like a rite of passage for a kid in this town. They have a good selection of flavors, and they are pretty good. A bountiful menu with many options. They range from a plethora of Sundaes, milkshakes, and many other choices. Good spot for a classic time!

Such a cute shop! It's got that old fashioned feel to it, lots of outdoor seating. With that said it was a little messy but it was very busy at the time as well. My kids love this place, everyone is able to get their favorite flavor of ice cream as they have a lot to choose from. Really generous portions and for a decent price as well. We're new to the area but this place will soon be a regular stop for us I think 😁
