The Kendall Inn Bed and Breakfast

Delightful bed and breakfast in a great location. Literally walking distance to the Freeport business district, but far enough away that you can enjoy the more rural/residential feel of the rest of the town. Our room was great, and very comfy. The owners were attentive and accommodating. Highly recommend.

Beautiful, historic bed and breakfast and we were exceptionally pleased with our stay. Our king bedroom was very spacious and clean, modernized but still had that historic flair. The breakfast was also exceptional. Matthew is a superb chef and made delicious, hot and homemade breakfasts fresh for each guest when coming to the dining room. We especially loved his homemade cheddar and chive biscuits!|In the evening there was always fresh homemade cookies and milk.|Stephanie was a gracious hostess and very informative regarding our stay and accommodations. She recommended a restaurant that was minutes away from the Inn as we had arrived late on a Sunday evening. This was my first visit to The Kendall. I was delighted with everything about the place. It sits on the Main St in Freeport, just a short distance from the center of town. The yard is lovely; the inside is immaculate. It feels at once traditional and recently renovated. My room was small but very cozy. The private bathroom looked and felt brand new. Service was fantastic. I was greeted warmly upon arrival. Milk and homemade cookies were put out for me during the evening. Breakfast was outstanding. I will certainly return on future visits to southern Maine.

My surgeon requires that his patients stay within a 30 minute drive for the first 24 hours after surgery. I chose Kendall Inn because it was on the way home and was reputed to have a good breakfast. I didn’t know what to expect after surgery and was being overly optimistic thinking stairs to my room wouldn’t be a problem. I couldn’t carry even the small bag of things without help so the owners carried it for me. Then I soon realized that going up and down the stairs every 20 minutes to get fresh ice wasn’t going to work. The owners brought me a cooler full of ice that lasted until morning. The owners made gluten free cookies and a tasty gluten free breakfast in the morning. This would be a nice place for a family or a group because it has multiple gathering rooms downstairs that are

The room was very clean and comfortable. Our hosts made us feel at home. The evening chocolate chip cookies with milk were a great treat! The breakfast was excellent and the location was great. Thank you for having us. We look forward to visiting again soon.
