The Ice Cream Place

Great little ice cream joint in town. Gets very busy, and the flavor selection is interesting but mostly misses my palette. If you are willing to wait in line, and HAVE CASH, stop by! Recommendation: get a small cup. It’s very large.

After a day of exploring Block Island on bicycles, The Ice Cream Place was the perfect pace to stop and enjoy some delicious ice cream. Their waffle cones were freshly made. And their vast selection of ice cream made choosing one really difficult. My entire family enjoyed the ice cream.

Goodness, I have to apologize and say that I totally got the name of where we went for ice cream wrong! Aldos Bakery is where we had our experience of small portions and the ice cream being so so. 🤦‍♀️ THANK YOU for responding to my original review and causing me to double check! Now I want to try your ice cream!!!! 🤩

After coming back from the Mohegan Bluffs, from a flat tired sadly, the locals recommended it. That ice cream special was huge and tasty and the limenade (not to be confused with lemonade) did me in. Worth grabbing a bite hire :)

This place should really be called “The Cash Only Ice Cream Place”. I mean, it’s absolutely delicious, the ice cream is fresh with a lot of great and unique options. My kids were happy campers. Line wrapped around the store, but it moved quickly. Would’ve moved a lot more quickly if they accepted Venmo, or credit card, or really anything besides cash necessitating change. My kids were actually entertained because they never see me use cash or (gasp) an ATM machine. It was “old timey” my daughter called it. Ice cream, seating area and nice staff. Thanks for a lovely afternoon treat!
