The Featherbed Inn & Nordic Spa

My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful time at Featherbed Inn. The owners, Karen and Mick, were so lovely and we really felt at home. The breakfasts were so thoughtful and delicious. We enjoyed the hot tub and sauna and even snowshoed right out the back of the property onto trails (with snowshoes the Inn provided). We stayed in a room in the main house and it was very comfortable. Amazing sleep! Highly highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be back! Thanks Karen and Mick!

Karen and Mick make sure all their guests are well taken care of. From dietary needs to the impeccably restored buildings, to the location and the tips and recommendations, they made our stay fantastic.|Karen cooks up good strong coffee and varied, filling breakfasts. She knows the area well and had lots of ideas for hikes, walks, shops, sights, and activities. Mick and Karen have the grounds fixed up for wandering, sitting and gazing, hiking, and comfort. Our evenings were-too chilly for us to take advantage of the lovely spa and hot tub-but they were there for the taking!|Over breakfast as other guests come and go, we struck up conversations with different people from different parts of the country, comparing notes and thoughts for what to do, where to go.|Waitsfield itself is a gem. We just got back from staying here. I highly recommend staying here. Karen and Mick are amazing hosts. The breakfasts are out of this world. The spaces to hang out are comfortable and welcoming. Afternoon mulled wine, and hot chocolate with homemade cookies were a lovely treat in front of the open fire. The Nordic spa experience was perfect after a day skiing. I didn’t ski but found plenty of activities to do in the surrounding area. It was a heavenly getaway!

Featherbed Inn is a gem! My husband and I had a wonderful stay, and felt very at home with Karen and Mike's warm welcome. It felt like we went to a friend's home and we were very well cared for and fed. The gourmet breakfast was scrumptious! I will miss and crave the scones so I might have to try and make some myself. The featherbed was very comfortable and the spa is excellent! They have hot tub, sauna & cold plunge. And despite my unliking to cold weather and water, never would I ever seen myself trying on a cold plunge. I didn't just tried it, I like it as well! Sauna and cold plunge is a great combo. We spent three extremely enjoyable days/nights at The Featherbed Inn just prior to Thanksgiving. I encourage EVERYONE to trust all of their well-deserved 5-star reviews. From the moment we entered we felt at home. The common areas are warm, comfortable and inviting. The kitchen is centrally located and there you will be greeted and entertained by Karen and Mick. These two surely have the hospitality gene prominently embedded in their genome. Within five minutes you will realize you made the correct decision regarding accommodations, have made an instant connection and will be returning at some point soon.
