The Counter

Hello my Black Community! Me and my husband were visiting the waikiki area, and decided to venture out for more local food. So we came here. Fair warning my brothers and sisters It depends on who is working at this restaurant at the time, to determine if its a good atmosphere or not. Be Aware when coming here!! The food was good. Its just some of the servers attitude 😒

This place is so delicious!!! I love the servers! They have such a positive additude and handle the rush hour with experience. I loveeee Malissa shes the best server. Luv u guys!! Aloha from Chicago, miss Hawaii my homeland already!!

I LOVE The Counter. The burgers are delectably delicious - who doesn’t love a customizable burger??? And their milkshakes are to die for. Love love love. And, even better, their patio is dog friendly! As a dog trainer, The Counter is the absolute perfect training spot. I love taking dogs in training here to get them accustomed to settling under the table while their owners have a good meal. C‘Mon - burgers, shakes, and dogs? It doesn’t get better than that!!!

This place is tasty, probably worth a try. It's nice to customize a burger. I enjoyed it, fries were good and the cocktail I had was also pretty good. So why is this a 1 star? Well my pregnant wife and I who just got back from Japan, been eating the same meals for nearly a week. We come back and this is the meal where we actually got different items. I customized a burger and my wife customized a chicken sandwich. We both thought it was tasty but only she ended up getting food poisoning 6 hours later, hurling her entire ~$40 meal up from both ends and destroyed another night of sleep the day after being jet lagged. So while it was "good" having spent $91 on this meal I shouldn't have to worry about tainted meat as if it's from some sketchy gas station sandwich.

Great service, delicious burgers! He took me here since he liked it and I had yet to try it. The service was fast and our server gave us some recommendations on items to try. We chose the build your own burger (vegan) and nashville chicken, as well as the cauliflower wings appetizer. Everything was so tasty! Fresh ingredients and didn’t need to wait long to get our meal. The cherries tomatoes were forgotten in my burger, but everything was yummy so I hadn’t even noticed. Cauliflower wings have fresh herbs which is a nice touch. We look forward to eating here again!
