Customer Reviews
The Bear Pit BBQ has been a staple restaurant in our family for as long as I can remember. Things have changed over the years, but they still provided excellent service. The restaurant still has the same decor & paintings on the walls that I loved so much as a child. The menu is generally the same, with a few additions/changes. The first thing both myself & my brother said when we walked in was "there's no more sawdust..." growing up that is how our parents/grandparents knew what restaurant we were talking about when we requested to eat at the place with the sawdust on the floor. The fried taters aren't as good as I remember them being as a kid, but I just believe I have outgrown the fascination of them. I ordered the Grizzley Bear Combo; which included 2 BBQ meats & 3 sides of your choic
An old time favorite, if you haven't been, it's a must try. Good old fashioned Burbank style BBQ. Don't forget the pickles ! Love this place !
Live out of there area and we happened to stumble across this little gem of a place. They were so polite concidering we walked in 25 minutes before closing. Food was great, service was wonderful. Will definitely return when in the area. Oh, if you like a sweet BBQ sauce, they got you!
We initially stopped at cocos for a late breakfast early lunch but there was a pretty long wait. As we were walking up we smelled some delicious BBQ and decided to eat here instead. We ordered the ribs and chicken combo, I definitely liked the ribs better but the chicken was still pretty tasty. We also ordered the Cub burger which was a pretty large size for a kids meal, also very good. We got onion rings, fries, coleslaw, baked beans, and an order of pickles, all delicious! And we also got a slice of the tuxedo cake with our coffee. Everything was very good and I am happy we came here instead of Coco's! Our server was also very nice!
A little gem hidden in the arm pit of the Greater Los Angeles valley. Come here when you want a good roast beef sandwich. The food is above mediocre with it's cafeteria style food and darker ambiance. Plenty parking.
