Had been wanting to try The Bayard House for a while now and finally took a trip over there. I ended up having an absolutely amazing dinner there last night! (Note: We went before 4 so we still got the lunch menu) I got the Atlantic Fish N' Chips and they were the best I've ever had! They have a beautiful crispness to them but weren't overly hard. The cajun remoulade they came with was so delicious as well! Everyone else enjoyed their dinners too! They got the Blood Orange Salad and Double Smashburger. We also got the Beer Cheese Pretzels as an appetizer. Finally, we had an amazing dessert too consisting of the Keylime Pie and Apple Pie. I can't recommend going here enough if you're in the area. As a fair warning though, they are kinda pricey, but completely worth it at the same time. Also

This restaurant had very flavorful dishes. The soups were well seasoned (we all had a different flavor), the fish was incredible, the salad was so delicious, and the Smith Island 9 layer chocolate cake was incredible. It’s a stunning location on the canal with picturesque views of the water, the bridge, and the sunset. Our waitress was attentive but not overbearing. All around this was a great place to enjoy a fancier dinner in a nice atmosphere. Will definitely visit again next time I’m in the area and would highly recommend.

Barely any service. Server greeted us with 5 iced waters (most of us including young children don’t drink iced water), no plates to share appetizers, no knowledge around drinks, no description of any menu items, had to ask for more napkins and kid’s lids (which they don’t have). Worst of all, by the time kids are tired and ready to get home, she left the bill on our table and chatted with another table for a solid 10 minutes until I decided to pay at the bar. By the time I left the signed bill on the table she’s still showing her back towards me. I left standard dinner tips. None of us is caucasian, but she’s probably too young and naive to be in the service industry in a modern diverse community. We are here to celebrate Mid-autumn festival and determined to focus our energy on good time

Bayard House was the perfect venue for my daughter’s bridal shower. The space is beautiful, and the staff was wonderful. A special thank-you to the General Manager, Patrick, who went above and beyond to make the day seamless and stress-free. His professionalism and attention to detail truly made the event special. Highly recommend for any celebration!

The food was very good, especially the crab cakes, they were in effect nothing but crab. The Maryland crab soup was the best I’ve ever tried. We sat near a rather loud party and the a/c was blowing right on us, so we asked to be seated elsewhere. Other than that, the Bayard House is a great establishment, right on the water with great view of the bay. We recommend it, it won’t disappoint. It’s also adjacent to a number of houses/businesses built around 1830, but maintained in excellent condition, so it makes for an interesting walk in the streets around it.
