Thai Moon Carry-Out

Was craving Thai food and decided to ride over to Thai Moon for dinner. The food here is authentically Thai cuisine and just delicious! WARNING: Thai Moon is carry out orders only & cash only so come prepared. This is a SMALL business so be specific with your pick up time and don’t expect to be chatting up a storm with the staff here when picking up your food. They are working as fast as they can to get fresh food out and take orders. Please be mindful of this. All orders on the menu are custom made to your spice level from mild to Thai level hot. Great little shop and take-out kitchen with authentic Thai food. Lots of gift items and grocery items from Thailand. Miss Moon makes some seriously legit food and she's so nice.

The food is always fantastic, I’ve been coming to Ocracoke my whole life, and the owner is an absolute gem! It’s such a pleasure coming back to an establishment that had amazing food when I was a kid, and it still holds up to the highest quality even though it’s been over 15 years since I first went. Please take the one star reviews with a grain of salt. This is a ONE PERSON operation and the owner is obviously doing her best (and serving absolutely delicious food). The ordering protocol that you see in these reviews are because she is once again ONE PERSON and according to the sign up in her shop explaining the protocol, close to retirement. SO DELICIOUS. The fam and I got a variety of dishes for carry-out. Around 5:30 on a Wednesday the wait was still around 30 min, so definitely recommend calling in; then you can just roll up and the pick up is really quick. Big bummer is that it’s cash-only, but worth the inconvenience. The shop smells so so good and carries a variety of Thai groceries (Maesri is legit) and clothing. People working there were super nice and were able to offer some suggestions on things to order. We got the green curry (mild still has quite a kick, but super flavorful), chicken ka pow (VERY authentic Thai spice level), pad Thai, egg rolls, chicken with veggies, and chicken with broccoli.
