Hart's Hotdog Hut

Fantastic breakfast buffet and everyone that works there is super friendly. Relaxed atmosphere and a breakfast there can keep you going all day long. Also - the biscuits are the BEST. Try them with fig butter!

It is in a gas station. They only have a buffet and it is really good at a great price. They have all kinds of options. Both fried eggs and scrambled eggs, corned beef hash, sausage patties, bacon, fried chicken, grilled chicken, waffles, pancakes, french toast, grits, tater, tots, hash browns, grilled jalapenos, grilled mushrooms, a red eye sausage gravy and really good tender flaky biscuits. Your meal comes with your choice of coffee tea. Lemonade orange juice or water. All you can eat and drink for only 12 bucks. It was a good deal. The food was really good and uh, the service was wonderful. They regularly brought out hot fresh food for each of the choices while we were there. Overall, I'd come back here every time we come down to Okracoke island.

Look, I know my way around a hearty breakfast. And Hart's is not just about hot dogs. In fact, I didn't see a hot dog during my visit. What I did see was a great breakfast buffet for a reasonable price, drinks included. I'm talkin' sausage patties, bacon, 🥓, (both Canadian & conventional) scrambled eggs, jalapenos, home fries, tater tots, fruit, grits, French toast, pancakes, and the best GD waffles I ever had... Try them first before slathering them with the maple syrup. You'll thank me. The folks hosting the buffet were really friendly and helpful too. I'm going back. A couple more times before we have to go home. See you there!

We were traveling in our RV and took a ferry ride over to Ocracoke Island. Saw a flyer about this place on the ferry. So glad we stopped! The gourmet hotdogs were delicious! As were the loaded fries. As a bonus all the prices in their little shop were fantastic! Handmade earrings were so cute and only seven dollars each. Canned 20 ounce bears were only four or five dollars. They had cute clothes. Nice souvenirs. The owner was so fun to talk to! I wish we were staying for more days, there are so many more items on the menu we would love to try. The pineapple salsa on the Sweet Seaprise hotdog was sooo good!!

Love the buffet concept they're using now. They are always very kind and friendly, and always check up to see if you need anything. Always a large variety of options to eat. After you're done, you can check out the gifts nearby.
