Teppan Express

Giving my 5 stars to their Tonkotsu (Pork Broth) Ramen. The quality of the ramen met high standards of Authentic Japanese ramen. Thick and rich broth, perfect quality of the noodles, and they were so generous of the amount of the meat (marinated pork shoulder). Highly recommendable experience there. It won’t disappoint you. (Extra perk: check out the sign of Fujiwara Tofu store, if you’re a fan of Initial D!)

Teppan Express is one of my go-to spots in Roanoke. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, and the food is always fresh and delicious. Their hibachi is excellent, and the noodles are some of the best around — you can really taste how fresh everything is. On top of that, the service is consistently incredible: fast, efficient, and friendly every time I visit. Highly recommend if you want a quick, satisfying meal that never disappoints!

10/10! I’ve been twice and everything I have had is good! I’ve tried the hibachi and they give you a lot which is great. I’ve tried the spicy miso ramen and another spicy ramen. Each ramen is so good. I don’t know how you can choose. I’m sure everything else on the menu is great but once you tried something good, it’s hard to deviate. I’ve had gyoza and summer spring rolls as well. Both delicious.

Last 2 trips here, asked for no white sauce extra ginger. Both times, NO ginger sauce but I had plenty of white sauce. I know I’m in the minority, but I do not like the white sauce. Food is good, but very simple requests can’t be accommodated. I was crystal clear with my request. After the previous experience, I asked her to repeat I did not want any white sauce, just ginger, and yet white sauce it is. I let it go last time as a simple mistake but at this point is it intentional? I tip well every time and love to support local business. Don’t think I can go here again. Just check your order is all I can suggest. Sad.

this ramen healed something that was broken in me. i think if i am ever seriously ill i will see if they'd sell me just the broth alone; i am convinced that it could bring me back from the brink of death. and even better the second day! (also very polite service, and i should have asked who did the mural-- it's pretty spectacular.)
