Nakhon Thai Cuisine

Thai is one of my favorite foods for over 30 years. We came around 7:20 on valentines night. There were many people there, packed. Yet we sat at the tiny bar table. I ordered the seafood melody, scallops and shrimp were fresh , it was odd that there was chicken in it. My partner had gotten the beef with a garlic sauce. Although the food itself was fresh the sauce on both meals were more on the bland side. My sauce in particular had a burnt taste to it. We were hungry and it was busy. I will give them the benefit of the doubt because it was so packed and not sure how they could cook all those orders… but to me the sauce makes the meal. If the sauce is bland or burnt well …. It was far from my favorite. We may give them one more try in the future …. Please pay attention to the dept

We love getting food from here! The staff is always kind and friendly. They work really hard here and you can tell everyone appreciates that because they are almost alwags busy! Even still, food has always been hot, fresh, and on made in a timely manner. Our favorite dishes here are the mango sticky rice, Pad Se-ew with beef, the crispy chicken and crispy shrimp, and the veggie stir fry with chicken is the absolute best!!

I would rate this place 10 stars if I could!! I was blown out of the water when my dish arrived. Cashew, shrimp, chicken, scallops, green onions, and bell pepper in the most DELIGHTFUL, robust and tangy sauce, with a side of rice. I told the waitress between happy and contented bites that this was probably the best food I had ever had. I had no idea what I was missing in life until I tried this dish. Wow, wow, wow!!! Is this place the hidden gem of the Roanoke area or what?! All I can say is if you're in the area and you want a meal that will not disappoint, this is the one for you. Anytime I happen to be back in the area, this restaurant will be top of my list. Oh, how I dream of having this dish again!! Yes, I am absolutely swooning. When you try it, you will be too!! Delicious food and great service. We got the panang curry with chicken and the thai basil chicken and they were both very flavorful and delicious.

Found this place on a business trip and because I had a craving for Thai food (always in the mood for Thai) and let me tell you … Nakhon is amazing! The food and service was 10/10. I got the Pad Thai with chicken and my mom got the drunken noodles with shrimp. BOMB! If I had to make any suggestions, I’d say renovate the inside a bit but other than that … zero complaints. Our waitress was amazing even with a big party (10+) was attentive and didn’t miss a beat. Will definitely come back next time I’m in the area!
