TANE VEGAN IZAKAYA

Delicious and fresh! We had the beet salad, a few different rolls, and Da Bao. The bao was not my favorite although the bun itself was super pillowy and good. The rolls and salad were incredible! Wish they had a few more non-spicy options on the menu

Amazing specialty roll options for vegetarians/vegans! Come here for the unique stuff - The Wedge and the Point Reyes rolls were so rich in texture and flavour. Their happy hour deals are good but those options are more forgettable - gyoza was nothing to write home about and the nigiri was good but not the best. The only picky note I have is on the ambience - the plates are izakaya style but the vibe isn’t quite what I expected. The tables were organized resto style and it wasn’t the cozy, lively vibe I’d associate with izakaya. Neither here nor there - doesn’t matter if u eat meat or not, come for the specialty rolls.

Great food. Ordered 2 sushis, gyoza (they were ok), avacado roll and buns. Lovely modern restaurant. The wedge roll was great but other one was good too. Didn’t find much vegan food options in weikiki around royal hawaiian center. So this came quite handy

TANE Vegan Izakaya was hands down the best place we ate in Waikiki no contest. Fully plant based Japanese food that somehow manages to be creative comforting and completely next level. The sushi was unreal the appetizers were amazing and the cheesecakes were dangerously good. We ordered one thinking we’d share and immediately realized that was a rookie mistake. We went back twice and we were only in Waikiki for three days which honestly tells you everything. If we had stayed longer this would’ve turned into a problem. The service was outstanding too warm attentive and genuinely excited about the food which somehow made it taste even better. Good food. We tried the wedge and point Reyes specialty rolls and Eryngii nigiri. I really liked them all however they are little pricey. Other than that, ambience was cozy, parking can be a challenge. If you love Japanese food, don’t miss this place. Come here for their speciality rolls.
