This place is fantastic! While waiting for my steak burrito he gave me a complimentary mini margarita. What fantastic customer service plus delicious food!

What a delightful find for us on our walk through downtown Highland Park! The chicken enchiladas with tomatillo sauce and the steak tacos were incredible! I cried when the plate was empty 😭

The food is always served hot and absolutely delicious—these are hands down the best tamales we’ve ever had! Every meal is bursting with flavor, and the portions are generous while remaining incredibly affordable. The consistency and quality of the food are outstanding, and the high level of service makes every visit a treat. Jeff, the owner, is warm and welcoming, always going the extra mile to ensure his guests are happy. Plus, he makes one mean margarita! Service was fine. Food was just fine. I found the queso to have a gloppy texture and not a lot of flavor. Felt like the menu nicked and dimed you extras that would often be included like cheese or rice.

Great atmosphere and service, but the best part was the food. I had the carne asada which was amazing along with the duck tacos. The nachos were falling off my wife’s plate as they were stacked to the brim with savory cheese, chorizo, and beans. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone needing a new experience in Mexican food.
