Customer Reviews
Mil Colibris Bakery and Cafe While waiting for my client at the Ravinia Metra Station, I noticed Astro Coffee Roasters next door. Hoping to find some breakfast, I asked inside but they only had coffee. That’s when I discovered Mil Colibris Bakery and Cafe right next door. The moment I walked in, I was welcomed by the warm, inviting atmosphere. Initially, I was unsure whether to order at the cashier or head to the back where the bakery items were displayed. I quickly figured out that I needed to order at the cashier but also check out the bakery section. Great baked goods and coffee. We ordered a muffin, sweet tart, the mini pudding cake and cupcakes to go. We have also tried the Paninis and Avocado toast. They were all extremely tasty freshly baked and the raspberry tart was probably the best I’ve ever had!
The best avocado toast I’ve ever had! It says it’s the “basic avocado toast” but it really is exceptional! They are flavor geniuses! The atmosphere is so cute too! Love all of the pottery and figures for sale. They really have something special here.
Saw the 4.8 and thought I'd check this place out instead of going all the way to Upper Crust Bagels in Deerfield. The result was what seems like powdered egg and microwave bacon on a bagel. This could be my mistake for thinking it was a more traditional breakfast spot. Because of that I wanted to stay fair with review score. But I went directly from here to Upper Crust for a real breakfast sandwich if that tells you anything.
I ordered the turkey/avocado sandwich with salad. It came with chips. I sent it back. It came the second time without avocado. Food was tasty, but come on. Two mistakes on one sandwich? Do better.
