Astra Coffee Roasters

Hooray for local coffee shops and businesses. Astra is a wonderful coffee shop in the heart of the Ravinia District that always has a handful of neighbors out front during the warmer months. It’s also a great place to bring your laptop and to get some work done.

Who writes these reviews?!? Poor coffee, unfriendly service, un-cozy interior. Had 1 bitter latte and 1 weak Americano that were discarded after a few sips. Unfortunate as the location is good. I did not purchase beans due to subpar, uncaring experience. Too many other establishments that deliver good coffee and service to return here.

Beans Roasted in house! Why go anywhere else. Note: For the espresso heads, they use a light to medium roast for their espresso! Good news for the few in the know.

Amazing place, great coffee and great staff! They roast their own coffee. Ample space to sit and enjoy your coffee. Very reasonable prices as well. This is the last coffee shop to grab some before you go to the beach. Would highly recommend the place

Found this place by happenstance and was so glad I did! I had a nonfat café miel and it was delicious. Someone at another table got tea and received a little teapot for it - adorable touch! They are dog friendly, so I was able to see a few furry friends as I worked. Free parking on Sundays, so this will likely become my new Sunday coffee shop. It’s located in the Ravinia District, so it has a smaller and homier feel compared to downtown HP. I will definitely be back!
