Great little getaway in Irondale, AL. Right across from the railroad tracks in downtown Irondale, this eatery serves up food with a smile. Loved their muffin (trust me, get it heated - delicious!). They have a mango, strawberry and lemon "pastry" - you have to try this place out!! We're from Prattville, AL and we'll definitely make the 80+ mile drive to go here.

I was looking for a delicious croissant and boy did I find one… okay four! 😋 we could not help but get more than we came for because everything looked so tasty. The bakery offered to heat our pastries for us, but since we had a bit of a drive home we used the provided heating instructions and they turned out perfectly heated and crispy. We got a plain croissant, a strawberry croissant, a fajita steak croissant, a pistachio croissant, and two Vietnamese coffees. The plain croissant was fluffy and pillowy and enormous! The coffees would have been pictured but they didn’t make it home 😍😋 we got them plain, and they were perfectly sweet and bold, but they also have flavors to add. As an unexpected bonus, we were also given two free chocolate chip cookies, and the gentleman mentioned they give

My husband and I LOVE Sunshine Bakery! Sun makes the best cake in Birmingham. I’m mildly obsessed with every one of them she makes!! 😅 Every pastry, every macaron, every drink, every loaf of bread we have had has been nothing short of perfection. They have such a great variety of options and flavors, you will definitely find the exact kind of treat you are looking for. If you are looking for a regular cheese danish or if you want something unique like a matcha cake, you’ll find it there. We love going in here and talking with the owners. They are such lovely people!! An absolute must try in Birmingham. This place has become our favorite bakery in town.

I love this bakery! The owners are so sweet. I have been a few times & I enjoy the smiles every time I come in. Customer service is a 10/10. The almond croissant is my favorite of all. I get it heated up and it is chef’s kiss. They have a rotating menu so they do offer new items on the menu every week and some that they always serve. They also have boba teas & Vietnamese iced coffee. Everything I have tried has been amazing so far.

Sunshine’s bakery is the sweetest family run bakery with the most scrumptious bakes- perfect for afternoon treats or breakfast! Our favorites are the Almond Croissant (addictive), Cajun bloom sausage croissant, and Vietnamese coffee! The sourdough sandwich loaf, Nutella croissants, and any macarons are also delightful! They’re sold cold but they’ll warm them for you or you can follow their instructions if you want to enjoy it later and it always tastes fresh and melts in the mouth!
