Sunset Cafe

I don't know what to say about this place. A little charming at best. I wanted to like it but the food took so long to be served. The portions were small and I left hungry after cleaning my plate. Refills on soda/tea were extra. The crab cake was good, just not enough. The atmosphere, the bar was full of boat owners or locals and we were the only diners in the restaurant on a Friday night so that should tell you something. They were having a blast while we sat alone in the dining area. The dilapidated boats, docks just had an uneasy feel about it. This should be a million dollar property with a class A restaurant attracting a huge crowds every weekend. Instead just rows of junk boats fall apart, meager meals along with a beautiful sunset. I'd avoid the place if looking for a nice dinner.

There is a very good reason why its named Sunset Cafe. Seafood were freshly served with simple style of cooking (steam or boil) with nice seasoning. Can’t emphasis enough on having few dinners with that precious sunsetting view as I usually poped by during evening. In my humble opinion (someone from Southeast Asia), a hidden gem of Chesapeake City, MD.

Best sunset in the area. Good food, ask Paul or Kelly about specials. Good service, and friendly at atmosphere. And once a month they have live music with no cover and no increase in drink prices. Its hard to beat that. And when you visit, if Kelly is not busy, don't foget to ask her about the doggies.

Definitely a local place. The food is good and the staff is very friendly. Good crab cakes and the fries and onion rings were good as well. The sunsets make the place. Fantastic!
