Sunny's Local Grind

Ordered Kimchi Fried Rice with Pork Belly and Avocado- slightly sweet, gently spicy (warm? Not hot really at all), fresh kimchi, excellent flavor. Hubs got the breakfast burrito which he called, “actually possibly the best breakfast burrito I have ever had.” He’s eaten a lot of burritos… so. Kiddos split the burger and we all munched on fries and tots. We ordered ahead and waltzed through the front door after we confirmed our order. (But not after entering into Aloha Kitchen first and completely confusing the staff there but we went a different day and you should also eat there because 🤌🏽 it’s also amazing but different than Sunny’s!). First time trying Sunny’s and it did not disappoint. My husband is vegetarian, so finding places with enough choices is always hard. He had the biscuits and mushroom gravy which was super flavorful and a good size portion. I had the Brekkie burrito with spam and it was SO SO delicious. Definitely recommend for a quick service bite, chill vibe, and great price.

Tasty, cute place. Great drinks and great food. And we love an anti-ICE establishment 🫶 Chickpea smash and biscuits and gravy was so good. Delicious strawberry matcha. The staff is so kind and upbeat

I enjoyed the breakfast burrito and coffee! Limited seating, only 4 tables so definitely get there early if you can. I wish the hours were a bit more transparent since it says 6 AM open but the kitchen does not open until 7 AM. It was fine though, I just got a coffee and waited. The food was quite yummy! I liked the local art and holiday decorations too. Located in a convenient spot in Waikiki.

Food was great — we got Brekky Burrito, Fried Rice, Orange Juice and Ube Latte for $37. Limited seating but the area outside was cute :) EDIT: Went here for the second time, got Burrito again + Chicken Karaage and they were great!
