Location is honestly one of the very few highlights of this place. Parking is convenient and the common areas are nice. We stayed in the top floor room which was okay. The bathroom had moldy caulking and the shower head had more calcium buildup than the luray caverns. The most disappointing part was the lack of hospitality or customer service. We never heard or saw our hosts. Not a hello, is everything okay? or anything. We checked in thanks to paper instructions taped to the outside of the front door. Breakfast consisted of frozen sausage patties with flys hanging around. I wouldn't be bummed if this was your average 1 star hotel but for the price and the fact this is a bed and breakfast, I would at least expect some inkling of hospitality.

The suite room looked picture perfect but the bed was atrocious! My daughter slept on the leather sofa with a sofa pillow. I used another sofa pillow because the pillows were like rocks and smelled of old sweat and body odors. Very old - get a new mattress and replace the pillows. The room was also very dusty - dishes, counters and bed cover which I finally kicked off because the dust mites were overpowering. Every time we did anything dust mites were stirred up. Barely slept. Our parking location was at least .5 miles down the road on a very narrow busy street. Couldn’t even park to u load suitcases. but we were able to park near our room because their camper truck was broken down and in our spot. We went to dinner and then took a walk til dusk or we would’ve left if we had laid in the b

This was our second stay, and it was just as great as the first. We stayed in the New Room with stunning river views and a private balcony. We love this historic home and its prime location close to everything. Clearly, you will hear trains day and night, it’s Harpers Ferry! If you enjoy history, hiking, fishing, and beautiful scenery, this is the place to stay. The service was excellent, as always!

Stayed here for one night while bike-packing the GAP/C&O and had the New Room (me) and Top Floor Room (my friend). It was a virtual check-in, with info taped to the door. This is an almost 200-year old house in Harpers Ferry, so no surprise, there is not a right angle in the place. For perspective, I have stayed at the Town's Inn up the street, and this place is nicer by a *considerable margin. The owner has done a very good job of bringing this house into the 21st Century. Nevertheless, there are some small construction details which should be finished, and my friend in the top floor room had very minimal water pressure. The location and views are superb, and they allowed the bicycles to be secured on the back porch. A wonderful, nice lady came in to cook breakfast in the AM, which was

Unlike, Bougie Bob Skinner, my husband and I had a wonderful experience at this b&b…probably because we’re not miserable old men. Anywho, Chris & Cas were very pleasant and welcoming. Cas made us delicious breakfasts and hot coffees. The bed in our room (the New Room) was very comfortable. Yes, trains go by at night, but so what? We thought it was charming. We shall be returning in the future. If you want TVs in your room, go get a hotel that’s not conveniently smack dab in the middle of a national park.
