A good place for a cup of coffee in Harpers Ferry I recently visited Harpers Ferry with family. As with most trips we went in search of the history, the sights and a good cup of tea and coffee for the various members in the group. The town is part of the park service and most people park at the visitors center and take the shuttle bus into the town. There is a parking lot but quickly fills up because of the popularity. This shop is about a block and a half up high street from John Brown’s fort. Battle Grounds Bakery and Coffee is like an old time shop with the hand-painted sign outside to wood floor, brick entryway, and swinging screen door. It seemed a welcoming and friendly spot from the moment you walk in. The staff was friendly and helpful, at teh counter located near the back of the s

Went to Harper's Ferry for our 2 year anniversary and this was our go to coffee and breakfast spot during our trip. The food was delicious, the coffee was probably the best in town and their service was kind and friendly with a smile. Thank you for helping us start our mornings here! Definitely recommend stopping by. They have lunch items as well that looked amazing. Would come back. 👍
I had an amazing experience at this cozy little coffee and bakery shop! The coffee was outstanding, especially the blueberry-flavored coffee and the affogato—both were delicious. The shop itself is super cute and inviting, with a wide variety of drinks and food to choose from. Plus, there’s a charming gift shop inside, which adds a nice touch. Definitely a spot worth visiting!
A tasty breakfast sandwich and juice. It was too chilly to sit outside, so we ate at the counter. In addition to coffee, they offer a variety of bakery items, lunch sandwiches and salads along with ice cream. They do close at 5. Parking in Harpers Ferry is very limited, with some pay parking near the train station.
