South Side Kitchen exceeded our expectations and more! My husband and I were their last customers for the day. If we waited any longer to go, we would have missed a staple to our trip. This was by far our favorite place we dined at in Salem. We ordered a pulled pork, pulled chicken, Mac n cheese, potato salad, a salad, and fried pickles. The bbq sauce was phenomenal, I’d buy bottles of that if I could! There was so much food that we even had leftovers that were enjoyed back at camp! Everyone was so sweet and I can’t wait to come back to try the burnt ends!

We had delicious & fresh catfish po boy sandwiches. Kitchen careful about cross contamination and familiar with alpha gal syndrome and food allergies. In addition, we were treated to friendly & helpful servers and the place is spotlessly clean. Outdoor seating and carryout only. Skip the fast food chains and stop here for a superior meal! We truly enjoyed our experience.
