Arandas Mexican Restaurant

Stopped in for dinner after checking out Elephant rock. We were seated immediately by a friendly server. We were served salsa and chips while we browsed the menu. The salsa was smooth and mildly spicy. The ceiling is high so it echos a bit and it’s quite loud inside with just a couple tables. Roof Beer has a good fizz and the drinks came in pretty large cups. Chicken had good flavor and each member of our party enjoyed their dishes. There wasn’t any soap in the men’s room while we were there. My only complaint, and it’s extremely minor is that my tomato was super tiny. I could have asked for more but I didn’t.

I got the speedy Gonzalez lunch meal with cheese enchilada and it was good, but I didn't like the cheese they used in the enchilada. Their chips and salsa are good, and I enjoyed the taco, rice, and beans. It was fairly empty with one other person being served at 1:30pm on a Wednesday.

Forst thing I said was the salsa tasted like it was from a jar. I got the taco salad. Unseasoned ground beef with lettuce, slice of tomato, sour cream and not very good guac. Hubs got a chicken burrito (no tortilla). Dry chicken flavorless rice and canned refried beans. I thought the prices were good until the food came. We each ate a couple of bites and the waitress never asked if we wanted a box. No worries, wasn't worth taking home.

Food was decent, staff was friendly but not super attentive. Margaritas were good. Decent prices for food and lots to choose from on the menu.

Tasty food, great service. Margaritas are delish and reasonably priced. Nachos were yum! Great experience all around.
