Everything was phenomenal! The prime rib was juicy, tender, and cooked just right! That was my personal highlight! My friends got BBQ chicken, ribs, and brisket which I got to try. Yes! It was delicious! Service was excellent! And, the food came out hot and quick! We honestly couldn't have asked for more! We were in town for a fight down the road. I honestly wish I had more reasons to come to Marshalltown! This place is gold!

Fast friendly service and fantastic bbq. The best burnt ends sandwich I've had, and that says a lot. Right up there with Smoky Ds in Des Moines and Jethros in Altoona. I will be back. I visit the area once a year for a special event, this establishment is on my must have list.

We saw this place on our way to another restaurant. The aromas that were outside even on a rainy day were so inticing that we made sure that it was next on our list. We love great BBQ, so we knew we had to try it. The service was friendly and prompt. They sat us midway in the restaurant, which was moderately full for a mid-afternoon. The booths provide enough space to enjoy the decor and pictures. Which made the atmosphere nice. The aroma of smoked meats hung in the air. We had the onion rings with Ranch dressing (we mix the BBQ sauce to make it fun). A whole plate full was a great surprise. The Choice of Two Meats and the Loaded Chicken Nachos as our main dishes. The food was so good. The service was friendly and fast.

We had the most amazing experience at Smokey G’s this afternoon. Our server, Cecee (spelling?), was incredibly polite, helpful, and friendly. The food was equally fantastic - the shrimp and broccoli were cooked to perfection; not overdone whatsoever. My spouse thoroughly enjoyed their brisket sandwich. Plus, this restaurant makes their own sauces! The only opportunity I saw was that it would be great if the young hosts learned to proactively ask those with obvious physical disabilities if a table closer to the main entrance is preferred. Overall - such a fabulous experience! Highly recommend asking for Cecee!

We've always ordered to go and the food has been delicious! I'm so glad we decided to dine in this time. Everything was great! We had the hot roast beef and a steak. Service was friendly food hot and fresh. The booth was deep and comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and smelled good. Good atmosphere as well. Oh and we absolutely loved that they had Moscow mule and mug Root beer to drink!
