I’ve been going here for 60 years on road trips from Illinois with my family to visit Grandma. Now I’m 67 and include my annual motorcycle rides thru Marshalltown just so I can have a Maid-Rite. Love em… A vibe of its own you must experience…

It was an old school type counter only seating restaurant. It's main entre is the loose beef sandwich. Local iowa beef. The wait staff was friendly and served quickly. We did the loose beef sandwich and shake. The shakes were very good too. They also now have chili and some desserts pies and ice cream.
