Simpson's Hollow Bed and Breakfast

Chris and Susan, the hosts, are polite and very accommodating. We originally planned to visit a few months ago, however, due to a death in the family we needed to reschedule. Chris was very understanding and worked with us to plan another visit. The lodging is very spacious with lots of room to get comfortable. And the breakfast - oh my, the breakfast! Fresh and delicious, this was the highlight of our visit! As we are here in February, it is much too cold to enjoy the great patio, but we are already planning a summer visit to truly appreciate the mountain. We will be back soon!

We had an excellent stay here! The house is in the woods in a very quiet and pretty area. The rooms were incredibly clean and well-maintained, the hot tub a great addition, and the breakfast way more than we expected! They gladly accommodated a vegetarian diet and served huge waffles, bowls of fresh fruit, omelets, toast, orange juice, and coffee. We were more than happy with our stay here, especially for a great price! Would recommend for any couple or family traveling to the area!

Husband and I just spent a weekend here and it was amazing. Nice cool basement, completely private, firm bed, full stocked kitchen, and the best breakfast I have had at a BnB in years. We left very satisfied and full for a day of exploration in the Mountains, and it is located in the center of many breweries, cideries, and distilleries. Only difficult thing was their driveway is a bit steep in places with large rock gravel so it was hard at times for my little car to climb the hill. Had to put in reverse to level ground and then floor it up, but this just proves I need a car with 4wheel drive in general! Excellent job, guys! Extremely fair price. Highly recommend.

This is our second time for having stayed with our hosts, Chris and Susan, at Simpson’s Hollow Bed & Breakfast. Once more they outdid themselves. First by being very accommodating to change our dates not once but twice. Second, MelaDee is gluten intolerant and Susan ensured that all our breakfast needs were fully met. Oh, did I mention the fruit for breakfast? Each of our bowls were overflowing and there was enough food to feed an Army. Simpson’s Hollow is situated at the foot of one of the Blue Ridge Mountains, near Lovingston, Virginia. The place is quiet, restful and the scenery is breathtaking. You can walk the gravel road to the main road. You may find deer, rabbits, ferret/weasels, squirrels and other animals as you travel the road. Ensure you go near the main road at sunset.

As a part of our tradition we always stay at B&B's for our birthdays. We opted to get the dinner add on, so that we didn't have to go anywhere once we arrived. It is like a small apartment, with two bedrooms. The hot tub with the view was my absolute favorite. Chris and Susan made it a point to make us feel at home. We actually started planning the next trip before we even left (:-)) hopefully for longer than a day next time.
