Nelson Scoops

Run by great people and they did a nice job putting this place together. The ice cream was pretty good and the prices are much better than Charlottesville’s options. As other reviews have stated, the waffle cones are stale or just not great and this should be addressed. Nelson is lucky to have a spot like this.

My daughter & I went today for opening day. We just missed the rush.. perfect timing! The ladies in there were so sweet & friendly. The ice cream was delicious! We’re local so I have a great feeling we will be regulars. So happy this side of Nelson has an ice cream option now! :)

Great ice cream, Best toppings! Really good doughnuts too! And cake! Cozy little place with chill country music better than 99.7 but unfortunately it's a satellite radio station. I'll be back! 🙂

This place is a hidden gem! The staff was very friendly and the place its self was very clean. Everything tasted amazing! Once I walked in I found out that they make their waffle cones FRESH every single day! I thought this was amazing since other ice cream shops never do that. If you are passing by I highly recommend stopping in and saying hi! I will definitely be back!

Good ice cream and great staff. Nothing fancy, just solid ice cream and shakes. They have desserts and coffee here, but I haven’t tried those. They have indoor seating and outdoor seating around back. It’s a very clean place.
