Shipley Do-Nuts

Shipley needs to work on their customer service. I arrived inside and was the only customer. I was not greeted at the front instead by the workers behind the racks of donuts. I asked for a dozen mixed donuts, dozen kolaches, and an iced latte. The worker brought up 2 kolaches and asked what kind of donuts. I said a mixture, she then gave me 10 donuts from the bottom row which were all iced and I finally said that’s enough from the bottom and she gave me 2 filled donuts. I told her I asked for a dozen kolaches and she went to get those and came back and said anything else? I did not ask for a latte after all this.

The jalapeno kolache was so fresh today 01/11/2026 and I love the Bavarian cream bar with chocolate on top ,, but the cream inside did not taste that good , maybe yall need to use a better pudding filling , my favorite anything with chocolate frosting on top

So far so good. The kolaches are good. The donut holes are good and the donuts are great.

We haven't been customers for a long time, but they're a little better than the donut shop closer to our house. While in there yesterday I witnessed a woman coating the tops of donuts by hand with no gloves on. She wiped her nose with one hand and continued on! I asked to speak to the manager who told me that the icing get stuck to the gloves, but hands are washed before and after icing our donuts. Really?!!! So they expect us to trust an honor system concerning hygiene? They've lost another customer. I shudder to think what happens behind the front counter, as the woman was in plain sight near the front counter! Follow up: What's unfortunate is the generic response to my complaint. I requested to speak to a manager after witnessing your employee dipping donuts in frosting bare handed...no

The woman was very nice and efficient 🙂 I got there just in time to get fresh glazed donuts
