Friendswood Public Library

During my Winter break I decided to visit area libraries and Friendswood was one. His was my first visit, and I wasn't sure what to expect. First, the children's section is separated by a nice hallway, which helps to cut down on some of the noise, depending on where you are. The library offers a nice selection of books, travel books, DVDs, and CDs. In addition to the books offered, there is also a listening station, and piano keyboard with head phones for patrions to use. For those who need to use a computer there is a section with plenty of machines, as well as several chairs and a periodical section to enjoy your reading. This library has a lot of great things to offer, but it can get pretty noisy. There are often people on their phones, and conversations aren’t kept to a whisper. Just a heads-up—if you need silence for studying, you might want to bring headphones or choose another spot.

The librarians are wonderful. They always have new books in for adults and my children. They hosy great programs and activities. I love the atmosphere and selection of books.

Perfect place to study! Enough private studying rooms with outlets and WiFi. Basically they will be occupied very early, so recommend coming when the library opens.

Friendswood Public Library is great! I just took my kids here for the first time, and they had never been to a "real" library before, just the one at the school. My daughter got to pet a bearded dragon, we played a game together in the youth area, and we checked out books and movies to enjoy. I asked the kids what they thought of going to the library as a fun activity for this summer's list of things to do, and they gave me a resounding yes!
