Yelp had told me that this is one of the top 10 kolache places in the friendswood area. I was having a hankering for a kolache so I figured I would give it a try. I got the sausage cheese jalapeno kolache and it was very good I would definitely go back. The service was excellent the nice woman behind the counter was kind enough to give me a free donut I don't know the name of it but it was definitely great! Sadly the place is very dingy inside and feels very old. I think the cash register is from 1960s 🤷🏻♀️ Anyway if the dinginess and darkness doesn't freak you out then I suggest you go and try a kolache!
Linda's donut shop, is a near and dear place to my husband and I's heart and family. We stop here every Sunday before church and have breakfast, coffee and drinks. And often embrace Mrs. "Linda", and have good conversation with her, and her husband. She is so welcoming, offers a friendly and pleasant atmosphere in her place of business. Her donuts and donut holes, are the BEST we have ever had!!! And I enjoy her breakfast tacos, with the homeade salsa of hers is a must! My husband always gets the Chappel Hill jalapeno sausage kolache, and "special" coffee. She always offers and gives extra! Such a kind woman and man. I highly recommend stopping here, at least ONCE, if its doesn't become a part of your routine also! Thank you for your time to read all this. And thank you "Mrs.Linda" for all
I was down in Houston for a week and stumbled upon this one of many donut shops. This one stands above them all. We came in almost every day. The donuts and kolaches are great but do not sleep on the croissant sandwiches I think those might be the best thing in a wealth of great food. Linda was there every day we went in. She’d throw in some donut holes for my kids and chat with me. It was a special ritual for the week we were here. She was kind, warm, and thoughtful in a tough time for us. You can taste the love in the food. I cannot wait to come visit next time we are in Houston and my kids will be heartbroken we are 1500 miles away again.
Cannot say enough good about the sweet old lady that sells the donuts and kolaches. Not the greatest selection of donuts but adequate. Some free donut holes thrown in was nice surprise. Biggest and best old fashioned donuts in the area-almost twice the size of other donuts shops.
It is the best donut shop in the country. The donuts are excellent, the croissant sandwiches are amazing. And she is the kindest person. They make every morning special here!
