Sanibel Bean

Ordered one Late & one Cafe Cubano. Cubano spot on: balance of sugar and cuban coffee. Late was a disappointment: no foam, no froth just coffee and milk. Not a Late place. Service: pleasant, but not customer service oriented. Want your Late re-done, you get: That's how we do it. You decide if this place is for you.

As a long time Sanibel visitor, I remember the original Sanibel Bean with bumper stickers and photos. We still go here almost daily to get our "Blended Coffee" which is a frozen/crushed ice coffee -like the original store that had a slushy type machine . I always get my blended coffee - as decaf - no whip and sometimes add a flavor. They are one size only but I have no problem drinking it all. Stop in the middle of your walk or bike ride to cool off. Seating outdoors is nice. The cute art on the walls is by a local artist, who also works at the Post Office. Check it out. Know it's a small store, closes at 2pm (or sometimes a bit earlier). Great staff especially our favorite lady Lope! Thanks for always having a smile for your customers.

Sanibel is a luxury vacation spot, there is absolutely no reason that this coffee shop can't find an employee who can properly speak english or understand a simple hot coffee order. I went in for a simple hot coffee with cream and sugar and she started correcting me and speaking Spanish when I clearly ordered in English. I would rather get coffee from 7-Eleven or Rebel than have to deal with this in the morning.

Great coffee shop on the island. Had coffee and iced tea with some bagel breakfast sandwiches. Quick friendly service.

This establishment would warrant five stars however I cannot get past the price of one latte and one bagel costing over $16.00. The latte was outstanding,, the cinnamon raisin bagel was average. The entire staff was very nice and welcoming. However, I wouldn't return only because I feel their prices should be adjusted to a more reasonable level.
