Royal Barbecue

The inside is very confusing. It looks like they are too comfortable and have everything all over the place. The chicken was dry and you can crunch in the grains of salt, the fries are way too dry and stale, and the white rice is flavorless. Most bbq spot serve yellow rice, not sure why they do white, but it’s not good.

Horrible restaurant! Waste of money! I order 2 ½orders of ribs with rice and fries and got like 4 ribs and a huge tray of white rice and fries. Don't belive me? Take a look at the pictures... I have never had an issue like this in a restaurant. No sauces, tasteless plain white rice. Oh btw CASH ONLY!!

I should have known from the pictures that this was not going to be good. (There are no pictures of the actually food here.) We are new to the area so we really look to others reviews for guidance. From those we read, we had really high expectations. This food really deserves one star but I gave two for getting my order right. One of the reviews we read said they have the “best food in South River”. If that is true, I have absolutely nothing to look forward to in the restaurants here. My family and I won’t be patronizing here again.

First time ordering from this place. The man was rude and abrupt. He said it would be ready by 7:15pm. When I arrive to pick up my food it isn’t ready. Then I have to go to an ATM because, in this day & age, they don’t take credit/debit cards. When I get back, my food is still not ready. 45 minutes later, no food. This place is the opposite of recommended!

This is an amazing hidden place in South River for grilled meats as family meals. So affordable usually all items are less than $20. Remember to bring cash as they do not take credit cards. Take out only. Caldo verde soup was yummy and homemade. A tray is always enough for a family or a day not to cook
