Riddle & Martin Sub Shops

Riddle and Martin was a pleasure for lunch today! The menu was long and full of options, and I was glad that I was able to get a great chicken cutlet sandwich. Everything was reasonably priced! One of the Staff members - I believe his name was Chris - was absolutely wonderful to talk to and made my experience even greater. It was a ten minute drive from my office and I think will gladly take this trip once a month when I’m craving a sub!

Been coming here since the 90s when Ed Riddle and Chuck Martin still owned the shop and made the subs. The food quality dipped for a few years after they sold the business in 2003, but the current owners have brought it back to top form. The original menu has been largely preserved, and everything seems to be prepared using the same ingredients and recipes as back in the day. The tuna sub tastes exactly the same as I remember it tasting in the 90s and early 2000s. It is the very best that I have had in the area. I highly recommend R&M and consider it one of the top 3 sub shops in Central Jersey.

Huge portions and awesome owners and staff. This is a classic sub shop unlike subway or jersey mikes (which just got bought out by private equity btw). Definitely worth trying out🔥

Great sandwiches. Always fresh and sizable. Very consistent. Our go-to for subs. Cold or hot. Only thing I wish they had a bigger space for the clients. It gets very tight with 2 or more people waiting.

Wasn't surprised to see that R&M was still around! We used to stop by a few times a week for subs in the 90's! My go to was a ham & Swiss, dry, with mayo!! 10 🌟 's in my day!
