One of Portland’s Best Hidden Gems! Hands down, this is one of the most underrated restaurants in Portland. The menu is incredibly creative, and the ingredients are thoughtfully combined in ways that truly surprise you. Every dish we ordered was mind-blowing in its own unique way — it felt like a journey of flavor from one delightful surprise to the next. All the food was a solid 5 except for the short ribs. Loved the oysters, tamales, and tostada! My wife loved and was very happy with her tuna jaw. The chocolate cake was delicious and very unique. Never had that flavor profile before! The only weak point was my short ribs. Weakness #1, they forgot about them. I had to ask where they were about 15 minutes after my wife had been served her collar. It took about 30 minutes after my wife was served before my beef arrived. Weakness #2, IMHO, was the serving size was a bit small for a $60 dish, especially with the price and size of my wife's tuna jaw. Lastly, the flavor was just ok. Delicate, delectable, sensory forward dishes that leave you wanting to come back to try more. Flavors that develop the longer you let a bite sit. Apparently menu changes regularly, which is exciting. Amazing food with a constantly changing menu. This place feels cozy with a small amount of tables and not many distractions so your focus on your food and the experience they're providing. With interesting dishes and mixture of flavors and textures is a must when visiting Portland. Staff is very welcoming. Get reservations ahead of time and get ready to enjoy an unforgettable experience.
